This spring, I had the absolute joy of capturing a couples maternity photoshoot in Rockwall, Texas. This creative couple’s session with José and Allison incorporated many special moments, from sweet letter writing to gorgeous film shots of mom and her baby bump. Everything was so effortlessly cinematic and nostalgic! We strolled through the fields as the sun began to set, and it made for the perfect golden hour backdrop to capture this sweet chapter in their lives. The whole session was just so precious! Nostalgic vibes captured through the lens of film photography
Something that made this session one of my favorites was getting to mix digital and film photography! Combining the precision of digital with the timeless feel of film allowed for these one-of-a-kind moments to have a more nostalgic vibe and that personal touch! Incorporating these heartfelt moments couldn’t have been more fitting for this couples maternity photoshoot. They radiated so much love, joy and pure excitement as they prepared for and awaited the arrival of their little one. Every frame told a piece of their story, and I can’t believe I got the opportunity to document it all.
Sentimental moments from this couples maternity photoshoot
I absolutely love when sessions include an activity or something of sentiment. For this, it was José and Allison writing letters to their first baby, adding in the newspaper prop that was used at their baby shower, and giving José the film camera to make those images even more special. All those little touches made this an unforgettable photoshoot!
